The Molecular Microbiology section encompasses research related, but not limited, to the molecular genetics, cell biology, physiology, antibiotic production/resistance mechanisms of prokaryotic cells and their phages. As numerous important applications in molecular biology, biotechnology and medicine such as the CRISPR-Cas systems and restriction enzymes have emerged form research in this field over the past 60 years and will likely continue to do so in the future, our objective is to sustain and promote research activities on prokaryotes at the highest national and international level. With the platform offered through specific and general meetings or via the website, we hope to foster interactions and exchanges of new and important research activities and technologies for both young and established scientists and teachers.
