The chairs of the LS2 Annual Meeting 2025 are Prof. Jörn Dengjel and Prof. Simon Sprecher (Profs. for Biochemistry and Neurobiology, at the Department of Biology of the University of Fribourg) and the topic of the conference is “The Complexity of Life: From Molecular Assemblies to Networks”.
The LS2 Annual Meeting brings together scientists from all backgrounds to explore the large spectrum united under the umbrella of Life Sciences.

The program of this edition gathers an amazing panel of keynote speakers: Prof. Sascha Martens from the University of Vienna, Vienna BioCenter (VBC) (AT), Prof. Bernhard Küster from the Technical University of Munich (DE), and Prof. Irene Miguel-Aliaga from the Francis Crick Institute (UK). These keynote lectures encompass a diverse range of captivating research topics, covering different "scales" of biology: protein assemblies coordinating membrane dynamics, regulation of the proteome and its dysregulation in disease, and regulation of organ plasticity.
The keynote at the Young Scientists' Symposia will be Prof. Giovanni D'Angelo, from the Institute of Bioengineering, EPFL. The session on 11 February will also have a workshop: "Mastering connections: the power of listening and communicating effectively" by Elena Barletta (ESN Switzerland).
