The topic is «WHONET – Introduction and demonstration». Jos Monen will give an introduction about the WHONET laboratory software, its use in laboratories and for surveillance like GLASS, EARS-Net, or CAESAR. 

A demonstration will be given on: 

• How to install WHONET; 
• How to make and edit a laboratory configuration; 
• Using WHONET: 
  • For data entry; 
  • To provide statistics; 
  • To combine files to be used for surveillance.

• What is the AMR Surveillance Clinic? 

The AMR Surveillance Clinic is an opportunity to connect with the CAESAR Network and to receive hands-on support on common issues related to AMR. Each session will focus on a selected topic of interest. These may include antimicrobials susceptibility testing (AST), antimicrobial stewardship, WHONET, quality management systems for laboratories, and more. 

• How does the AMR Surveillance Clinic work? 

The AMR Surveillance Clinic is a virtual event open to your whole AMR network, for which you will receive a Zoom link to participate and share with relevant colleagues. The simultaneous interpretation of Russian and occasionally other regional languages will be provided. Once connected, you will be able to ask any question related to the topic on the agenda. For more active participation and a better learning experience, we may ask you to (i) share with us some information beforehand,  and (ii) review relevant resources, in advance of the meeting.
