In 2018 the annual meeting of the SSM was held within the CHUV, Lausanne.

Our Society has allocated enough time and space for all disciplines embraced by the SSM. Clinical and laboratory microbiology being only part of the many fields where members of the Swiss Society for Microbiology are active. Sessions are also foreseen for prokaryotic biology, environmental microbiology, virology, and mycology.
